After several days of testing and the Swedish Kart League test race, Forza Racing is ready for the season’s most important event: the CIK FIA World Championship race for the OK and OKJ classes scheduled this weekend at the Åsum Ring in Kristianstad.
Back from a European Championship where Jamie Croxford’s team was competitive on several occasions, including a win at PFI with Dilano Van T’Hoff in OK Junior, the expectations for the World Championship race are extremely high. Moreover, Forza Racing will be at the OKJ starting line as the current World Champion team, with a one-two finish in the last edition at PFI.
The team will have eight drivers on the grid at the World: two in OK, and six in OKJ. Jonny Edgar and Elias Seppanen are competing in Senior, while Dilano Van T’Hoff, Alexandros Kattoulas, Isack Hadjar, Josh Dufek, Alex Dunne and Tikhon Kharitonov are racing in Junior for the British team.
Jamie Croxford, Founder: «The CIK FIA World Championship is the most important event for an international team. We as Forza Racing intend to get the maximum, confident of the result we obtained in 2017. The guys are ready and the drivers can’t wait to start. It’s going to be an interesting challenge.»
As always for CIK FIA events, activities officially begin on Friday with Free Practice and the Qualifying Practices, followed by the Heats on Saturday that end Sunday morning, when the Finals will elect the new World Champions.
