Good performance for Forza in France

In Race Reports by AG Media & Management

Forza Racing had positive performance at Circuit Ouest Karting in the race valid for the second round of the OK and OKJ European Championship.

All the drivers entered to the Finals, except for Sonny Smith, who remained out from the top36 due to a crash in which he was involved in the last Heat on Sunday morning.

OKJ – Kai Sorensen is the best placed drivers, he finished 9th after a weekend all in crescendo. He qualified 50th overall on Friday but then he recovered 39 spots along the heats. He secured the top10 after another brilliant performance in the Final. Kean Nakamura Berta had some ups and downs and this prevented him from fighting for the victory. He qualified 4th of his group, but 2 retirements in the Heats pushed him back to P29 (despite a brilliant victory in the last heat on Sunday morning). Kean returned 14 spots in the Final and finished 15th. Yevan David entered the final phase for the first time in France and continued his learning process. Yevan always stayed out from troubles and he finished the Final P18 (6 places gained from the start).

OK – All Seniors qualified for the Final. Nikolas Pirttilahti was the best placed one in 19th position. The Finnish had a strong pace for the entire weekend but a penalty in the Final relegated him to P19. Gerrard Xie once again showed good progress, he finished P22 after a positive weekend. Bad luck striked Ricardo Gracia in the Final, as he was forced to retire. The Brazilian had a weekend of comebacks after a difficult qualifying practice.

Jamie Croxford, Team Manager: «We had good pace. Testing was promising and I think that everyone confirmed along the race. We can fight for something important, we just need to fix all together.»

Forza Racing season will continue in Adria – WSK Euro Series round 2 – in 2 weeks.
