Lindblad excites in the final in Kristianstad

In Race Reports by AG Media & Management

Kristianstad was not an easy weekend for Forza Racing where the third and penultimate act of the FIA Karting European Championship was staged for the direct drive OK and OKJ classes.

The team’s performance was influenced by technical factors external to management which, especially in Junior, influenced the final result. Despite this, however, Arvid Lindblad came close to the top10 in OKJ, finishing 13th at the height of a comeback of as many 13 positions; the second most profitable comeback of the race.

The British Lindblad started from P26 and at the end of a very tight race full of overtakes for him he managed to raise the fortunes of his weekend by closing 13th. Less fortunate were his team mates Jonathan Weywadt (OKJ), Dilano van T’Hoff (OK) and Gilles Stadsbader (OK), who remained out of the final phase.

Jamie Croxford, Team Principal«The drop in performance between the different sets of tires influenced the result in Junior. These things, while being part of the competitions, are difficult to accept when they happen because they frustrate everyone’s efforts. I sincerely hope that this no longer happens. The team is already at work for the next engagements.»

Forza Racing’s racing plan now foresees the 3rd act of the WSK Euro Series scheduled at the South Garda Karting of Lonato on the weekend of July 23rd.
